Are SWMS and JSA the same document?

A SWMS document lists the overarching hazards, risks and control measures for the entire project, where as a JSA is only specific to hazardous tasks in a project as part of a daily analysis. This means JSA’s may identify new risks on the day that weren’t addressed in the SWMS like weather conditions.

The JSA interacts with the SWMS in so far as there may be new risks or hazards present on a particular day (for example poor weather), that were not otherwise addressed in the SWMS.
